Summary: Kamehameha Schools accepted a non-Hawaiian Student to attend the Maui Campus this school year. The non-hawaiian student was one of 45 students that were on waiting list for grades 10 through 12. The student was the had the highest scores that met the standards and criteria.

Pros:
-The non-hawaiian student got accepted to Kamehameha Schools.
-Princess Bernice Pauahi's will states, "to erect and maintain in the Hawaiian Islands two schools, each for boarding and day scholars, one for boys and one for girls, to be known as, and called the Kamehameha Schools." Bernice Pauahi felt that she wanted the children of Hawaii have the opportunity to have an education. It did not state that the children of Hawaii needed to have Hawaiian Ancestors or Hawaiian Blood. Here's the link to Pauahi's Will: http://www.ksbe.edu/pauahi/will.php.
